Our PE day is on a Monday. On this day please come to school wearing your black trainers and jogging bottoms. You can also bring your school hoody.

Written homework is sent out every Friday and must be returned to school on Thursdays.

Phonics

Children will be given a sheet with words and sentences containing that week's phonemes and tricky words. Spend some time with your child identifying the focus phonemesand reading the words and sentences.

Maths

Your child will recieve maths homework which is aimed at keeping their maths knowledge spinning. The questions will cover a range of mathematical areas that children have been taught. At times, children may receive additional homework linked to skills that are being taught in school.

In addition to this you will recieve half termly topic based homework; please see the homework web on each half termly page for this. 

Your child will take home 2 reading books. One of these is a phonetically decodable book that they have read three times in school. Please encourage your child to read this book working on building their fluency and story teller voice. The second book will be a 'reading for pleasure' book which is a book for your child to share with you. Please make some time to read this book to your child, modelling use of expression.
