Corona Virus Latest Guidance

The Government advised on 10th May that children in Nursery, Reception, Y1 and Y6 are eligible to return to school inJune if rates of infection continue to drop. We intend to open for these pupils on Tuesday 2nd June. Children must not attend school if they (or any member of the household) displays symptoms of corona virus (continuous cough, high temperature - above 38 degrees celcius). Until Tuesday 2nd June school will only be open to:

  • Children of Key/Critical Workers whether pupils at our school or other (guidance says that these are still safest at home if possible and other care available - contact school if unsure)
  • Children with an EHCP -Education and Health Care Plan (Government guidance says that these are still safest at home if needs can be met safely ) We will be contacting all parents of children with an EHCP to ensure that we work together to meet their education and health care needs as planned.
  • Vulnerable children (those with a social worker (subject to a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan) and Looked After Children

Please read here our letter to parents regarding the reopening of school and the government guidance on which our decisions have been made. These letters will also be posted out to parents (prioritising those children due to return on 2nd June).
