Active Play is a fundamental part of the school day at Keighley St Andrew’s. All the children in Key Stages 1 and 2 take part in 15 minutes of daily physical activity. The aim of this initiative is simple. It boosts physical activity in children and helps them develop fundamental movement skills, such as coordination and balance, all through playing physically active and fun games. As well as increasing physical activity, Active Play is also linked to improved emotional, social and cognitive development.
