Welcome to Sapphire Class
Sapphire Class is an exciting place to be at Keighley St Andrew's. Through our engaging curriculum and learning experiences, we strive to develop the children as individual thinkers and celebrate their resilience and mental strength towards the challenges they face. With God's help, the children will become independent learners where they can flourish and find their place within our Year 4 community and are filled with hope and aspiration.

In Sapphire Class, Miss Nixon will teach on a Friday. 
Important Information
Our PE day is on a Friday. Can we please ensure that children are wearing the correct PE kit, footwear and no jewellery.
Spellings are set on a Thursday with the spelling test on the following Thursday.
Children will choose their own reading for pleasure book. They will bring this home every day and change it regularly. The children can read independently or with an adult. Please ensure your child reads at least 3 times a week and write it in their reading record.
There will be a Times tables tests every Wednesday.
Multiplication Tables Check
At the end of Year 4, most of the Year 4 children will partake in the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). The check is designed to test the children's knowledge, understanding and fluency of the multiplication tables up to 12x12. The children are faced with 25 random questions and have 6 seconds in which to answer each question.
Each Wednesday, we will be having a multiplication tables test. Please ensure your child is regularly practicing their times tables.
The children also have TT Rockstars accounts and we encourage the children to go on a few times a week to continually develop that knowledge and understanding of each multiplication table.
- Soundcheck - The soundcheck tab will allow children to experience what the MTC is like.
- Rockslam - This tab will enable the children to set each other challenges as well as challenge the teachers, if they are brave enough.
